The Company branches hold the dominant position in the majority of the regions of presence, but in a number of the regions there are other regional grid companies which provide similar services for electric power transmission. IDGC of Centre, JSC covers 82.9% of the electric power transmission market in money terms in the territory of presence.

According to the Company’s own evaluation the share IDGC of Centre, JSC at the market of technological connection is about 88% (in terms of nominal units).

The principal competitors are territorial grid organizations (TGOs, municipal unitary enterprises) operating in Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Orel, Tambov, Tver and Yaroslavl regions.

In the Belgorod, Kostroma and Smolensk regions, in which the municipal power grids are leased or owned by IDGC of Centre, the Company has a 100% market share without taking into account the major users having their own power grids.

IDGC of Centre, JSC also tends to diversification of its business in terms of the scope of services rendered, including services in the sphere of energy efficiency. For instance, Open Joint Stock Company “Energy Service Company”, a subsidiary of the Company, was established in January 2011; it aims mainly at services rendering in the sphere of energy efficiency and conservation.
